This workshop will examine the collateral consequences of child abuse while exploring legal, social, psychological and developmental implications. Participants will discuss the various forms of child abuse, gender differences, propensity and risk factors. Current literature will be discussed and participants will be able to articulate the importance of understanding emerging family structures, effective treatment interventions and dual exposure to trauma and addiction.
